Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of VEY LINA and Sofia, our AI companion service. By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. About VEY LINA

VEY LINA provides access to Sofia, an artificial intelligence companion designed for conversation, companionship and general entertainment.

Sofia is an AI system and is not a human being. Responses are generated automatically using artificial intelligence and may sometimes be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, purchase a membership or use VEY LINA.

By using the service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into these Terms.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and for activity carried out through your account.

You must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your account and must not allow another person to misuse your account.

4. Sofia and AI-Generated Content

Sofia is designed to provide conversational companionship. The service should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice or professional services.

In particular, Sofia does not provide medical, mental health, legal, financial or other regulated professional advice.

You are responsible for decisions or actions you take based on information generated through the service.

5. Membership and Payments

Access to certain VEY LINA features requires a paid Sofia Membership.

Sofia Membership is currently offered at £14.99 per month. The applicable price will also be displayed to you before you complete your purchase.

Payments and recurring subscription billing are processed securely by Stripe or another payment provider we may use.

6. Automatic Renewal

Sofia Membership is a recurring monthly subscription. Unless you cancel, your membership will automatically renew and the applicable subscription fee will be charged for the next billing period.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel your Sofia Membership through the membership management functionality provided with the service.

Where cancellation is scheduled for the end of your current billing period, you may continue using paid membership features until that period ends. You will not be charged for the following billing period.

8. Refunds

Any refund rights available to you will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory statutory rights that you may have as a consumer.

9. Acceptable Use

You must not use VEY LINA to:

• break applicable laws or regulations;
• interfere with or damage the service;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems;
• use automated systems to abuse or overload the service;
• impersonate another person unlawfully;
• use the service for fraudulent or malicious purposes.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect VEY LINA, its users or third parties, or where these Terms are seriously or repeatedly violated.

10. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep VEY LINA available, but we cannot guarantee that the service will always operate without interruption, delay or technical problems.

We may update, improve, replace or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. Where a change materially affects a paid service, we will take reasonable steps to provide appropriate notice where required.

11. Intellectual Property

VEY LINA, Sofia, the website, branding, software, designs and other materials associated with the service are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms give you permission to use the service for your personal use. They do not transfer ownership of VEY LINA's intellectual property to you.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these Terms or losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

13. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date shown at the top of this page and provide additional notice where required by law.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also have mandatory rights under the laws applicable where you live.
